Our Story
Sealaska Natural Living and its parent company, Sealaska Timber Corporation, are wholly owned by Sealaska Corporation. Sealaska is the Southeast Alaska Native Corporation formed under federal law in 1971 with diverse businesses worldwide.
The Corporation is owned by approximately 20,000 tribal member shareholders of Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian descent and is dedicated to weaving successful businesses with culture for the benefit of shareholders, communities and the environment.
Founded in 1979, Sealaska Timber Corporation (STC) was formed to develop and market the resources conveyed to Sealaska through federal law. Sealaska owns 290,000 acres of surface land, and STC is the dominant timber producer in Southeast Alaska.
With nearly 30 years of experience harvesting logs from our aboriginal forests to world markets, STC has marketed more than 3.5 billion board feet of timber since its inception and build a global network of reliable partners throughout the supply chain.
