Hardwood Characteristics:

Natural wood, over time and through exposure to rough weather, undergoes changes in its color and texture.

Natural Elements and Natural Exotics outdoor furniture is made of solid hardwood. When it’s new, this wood has a golden-brown color and a smoother texture. Over time though, if you leave it unfinished, its color becomes grayish and rougher.

Because of this characteristic, you can choose what your garden furniture will look like in the future. If you would like to keep it exactly the way you like it, just choose the right preservation method.

Natural Wood Finished Products Characteristics: Light color, natural brown shade and smooth texture

Its use is recommended in locations where exposure is less aggressive. As the wood is less protected when it is subjected to very rough weather, cracks may appear, it may dry out and the color will change. In this case, more frequent maintenance is required and the use of some kind of wood protector is recommended.

For maintenance, you need to use neutral soap, an abrasive sponge and linseed oil.

It should be dried off with a clean cloth. If the finish becomes very grey, start off using 80 grain sandpaper, finishing with 120 grain and then following the steps above once again. Follow these steps whenever you think it’s necessary.

•    Finishing: protection against UV rays, fungicidal action and very scratch resistant.

Basic Maintenance for All Products

Screws: These should be periodically tightened, but not excessively.

Cleaning: Wash the furniture with a neutral detergent, a soft sponge and plenty of water.

Dirt accumulating on the wood will infiltrate its pores, darkening its color. Furniture with Eco protection is an exception to this rule.
